The Taunton Tigers Sport England funded primary school Hoops 4 Health community programme culminated this weekend at Somerset College sports hall with a 3 a side tournament referred by Tigers National league players.

Over the last 2 months 8 schools have received a healthy lifestyles programme delivered by coaches from the Somerset Activity & Sports Partnership (SASP). The programme promoted healthy eating, discouraged smoking, promoted the benefits of an active healthy lifestyle as well as running 6 weeks of after school basketball coaching.
Saturdays tournament was played in good spirit with the standard of play improving game after game. Bishop Henderson finished 4th, Wiveliscombe 3rd, Cheddon Fitzpaine 2nd and North Town 1st.
