Tigers got off to a flying start against Trophy holders, Reading, on Sunday but ultimately went down to another agonizing loss.

Remarkably, both teams had suffered heartbreaking one point losses the previous evening, but it was the Tigers who started strongly, and with Paul Yabsley hitting 14 points in the first period, a 16 – 2 run helped them lead 24 – 8 going into the first break.
That lead was stretched to 33 – 12 early in the second period before Rockets began to claw their way back into contention. The advantage was still a healthy 42 – 28 at the half, though, with Yabsley having scored half of Taunton's points.
In the third period the Reading fight back continued but a determined effort from Tigers saw them clinging to an 8 point lead going into the final quarter.
There was no stopping the Rockets, though, and they finally overhauled the visitors with just under 2 minutes to go. Taunton came back but couldn't find a way through Rockets' defence and two free-throws for Reading with 11 seconds to go secured their place in the semi-finals.
